Advantage And Disadvantage Of Living In Chicago
Advantage And Disadvantage Of Living In ChicagoThere are a number of reasons why a student might choose to study in the Chicago area. Some students choose to do so because they want to spend more time with their family, others have specific academic goals that require their services to help them make a certain grade, and others simply want to move into a different part of the country and get a new experience. Although there are advantages to doing this, there are also a number of disadvantages. The first disadvantage to living in the current state of Illinois is money. While the cost of living is comparable to other areas, it's still significantly higher than surrounding states. This is especially true if a student is planning on staying in Chicago after graduation to find employment or pursue further education. Though a person may not be spending nearly as much money as they would be in other states, they are still spending more on housing.Another disadvantage to living in the area i s that many local business owners are hesitant to hire people from out of state. Due to the negative publicity around illegal immigration in recent years, the cost of hiring an immigrant is higher than ever. Plus, those immigrants who do arrive from the state aren't necessarily looking for work, they're looking for a safe place to live. That means the local businesses that do hire out-of-state employees may have a hard time filling some positions.A second disadvantage to living in the Chicago area is quality of life. There's not a huge variety of good schools nearby, which means children will be exposed to a high concentration of test-taking, low achievement teachers. This can be frustrating to many students and can often lead to a lack of motivation in their academic progress. Those who plan on staying in the area for a while can hope that they'll have the opportunity to attend a better school closer to home.In addition to thinking about living expenses, there are also a number of advantages to doing so, including the ability to use your home for essay topics. Because the student can study at home, he or she will have the advantage of not having to share a room with another student. Since so many of the Chicago high schools are full, it's also possible to find a room to yourself for an affordable rate. The last advantage is that you'll likely be surrounded by many other recent grads. Though that might sound like an obvious benefit, it's actually true. When you live in a large city, it's easy to find someone who is just as happy or even happier in a larger setting. Plus, there are many more ex-students who will be around during your residency than there are when you're in college.Once you've chosen the best essay topics, you'll need to choose a way to go about choosing a school. If you're only going to take one class each semester, you may want to look into a public or private institution. If you're going to take multiple classes, then you'll want to go with a school that has the reputation for giving students an excellent education, whether it's online or at a traditional college. It's important to remember that there are some disadvantages to living in the Chicago area. For example, it's challenging to find a house to yourself, and there isn't as much variety as there is in other parts of the state. Overall, though, you'll have plenty of advantages to living in the Chicagoland area.
